Description

NACHURS K-fuel® is a high-analysis liquid potassium fertilizer developed for crops requiring increased levels of readily available potassium during critical stages of growth, reproductive development, and fruit production. Its concentrated 0-0-24 formulation is derived entirely from potassium acetate and features the highest available concentration of patented NACHURS Bio-K® technology. Bio-K combines potassium with acetate, a natural plant metabolite designed for rapid uptake and improved potassium-use efficiency. The small molecular size of K-fuel, combined with the plant’s natural affinity for organic acids, promotes efficient foliar absorption compared with many traditional potassium sources. Its high solubility and low salt index allow potassium to be supplied during periods of rapid crop demand while minimizing unnecessary plant stress. Unlike potassium fertilizers derived from chlorides, nitrates, hydroxides, thiosulfates, or carbonates, NACHURS K-fuel is chlorine-free, non-caustic, and non-corrosive. It is non-phytotoxic when applied according to label directions and is suitable for field crops, specialty crops, fruits, vegetables, trees, vines, and other compatible crops. K-fuel may be applied alone, used as an enhancing treatment with another fertilizer, or incorporated into NPK foliar and fertigation programs.

Role of Potassium

Potassium supports numerous processes throughout the crop’s life cycle. Adequate available potassium can help:
  • Regulate water movement within the plant
  • Support photosynthesis
  • Promote carbohydrate and sugar movement
  • Strengthen stalks and stems
  • Improve root development
  • Support protein and starch formation
  • Promote fruit development and crop quality
  • Increase tolerance to drought and other environmental stresses
  • Maintain healthy plant metabolism
  • Support natural plant defense functions
Crop demand for potassium often increases rapidly during periods of active vegetative growth, flowering, fruit development, and grain fill.

Ideal Applications

  • Corn
  • Soybeans
  • Cotton
  • Small grains
  • Forage crops
  • Vegetable crops
  • Fruit crops
  • Specialty crops
  • Trees and vines
  • Berries and grapes
  • Row crops
  • High-yield production systems
  • Crops with confirmed potassium deficiencies
  • Crops entering periods of rapid growth
  • Fruiting and reproductive growth stages
  • Foliar potassium programs
  • Soil-applied fertility programs
  • Center-pivot fertigation
  • Sprinkler irrigation
  • Drip-irrigation systems

Foliar Application Rates

Row Crops

Apply 2–12 quarts per acre with 3–10 gallons of water using ground or aerial equipment.

Specialty Crops

Apply up to 6 quarts per acre for every 100 gallons of water. Use sufficient water to provide thorough and uniform crop coverage. Application rates should be based on crop requirements, growth stage, soil testing, and plant tissue analysis.

Soil Application Rate

Apply 0.5–5 gallons per acre with other compatible fertilizers at planting. When applying K-fuel with a seed-placed starter fertilizer, consider the total fertilizer salt load allowed for the soil type, row spacing, placement method, and crop.

Fertigation Rates

Center-Pivot Irrigation

Apply 0.5–5 gallons per acre as needed.

Sprinkler Irrigation

Apply 0.5–5 gallons per acre to trees, row crops, and vegetables. Apply 0.5–4 gallons per acre to vines.

Drip Irrigation

Apply 0.5–5 gallons per application. Always perform a jar test with the intended irrigation water before fertigation to confirm compatibility and reduce the risk of equipment blockage.

Approved Herbicide Technologies

NACHURS K-fuel is approved for use with:
  • Engenia®
  • XtendiMax®
  • Enlist One®
  • Enlist Duo®
Combining compatible crop nutrition and crop-protection products may allow growers to provide additional potassium without requiring a separate application pass. Always perform a jar test and follow every pesticide label.

Mixing Guidelines

NACHURS K-fuel can be used alone or combined with compatible NPK fertilizers and crop-protection products. For best mixing results:
  1. Add approximately half of the required water to the tank.
  2. Begin agitation or recirculation.
  3. Add any compatible micronutrients or flowable materials.
  4. Add pre-dissolved soluble powders when required.
  5. Add the recommended amount of NACHURS K-fuel.
  6. Add the remaining water and continue agitation before application.
Mix only the amount required for immediate use. Temperature, water quality, concentration, and storage time can affect compatibility.

Why Growers Choose NACHURS K-fuel

High-yield crops can remove potassium from the soil faster than conventional fertility programs replace it. Even when soil-test potassium levels appear adequate, the nutrient may not always be available quickly enough during periods of peak crop demand. NACHURS K-fuel provides a highly concentrated, readily available potassium source that can be delivered through foliar, soil, or irrigation applications. Its chlorine-free potassium acetate formulation gives growers a flexible option for supplying potassium to both field and high-value specialty crops without the causticity or corrosion associated with some traditional potassium sources. Apply K-fuel according to soil testing, plant tissue analysis, label directions, and professional fertility recommendations. Deliver available potassium. Support critical growth stages. Fuel stronger crop performance.
