NACHURS First Down® is a premium 7-18-6 liquid starter and foliar fertilizer developed to give crops a strong nutritional foundation at planting and throughout the growing season.
Manufactured from high-quality raw materials, First Down provides an agronomically efficient source of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium. Its formulation maximizes nutrient solubility, maintains a low salt index, minimizes equipment corrosion, and offers dependable cold-weather storage.
One hundred percent of the phosphorus in NACHURS First Down is supplied in the orthophosphate form, making it immediately available for plant absorption and metabolism. This is particularly valuable during cold, wet spring conditions when soil phosphorus and potassium availability may be limited.
First Down is powered by patented NACHURS Bio-K® potassium acetate technology. Bio-K combines potassium with acetate, a natural plant metabolite designed for rapid plant uptake and efficient nutrient use. In-Furrow Application Guidelines
Corn
Apply approximately 2–12 gallons per acre depending on row spacing, soil cation-exchange capacity, organic matter, and professional fertility recommendations.
Soybeans
Apply 2–5 gallons per acre using appropriate placement equipment.
Wheat, Barley, Rye and Oats
Apply approximately 8–10 gallons per acre.
Sunflowers
Apply approximately 3–5 gallons per acre depending on soil cation-exchange capacity and organic matter.
Milo
Apply approximately 2.5–5 gallons per acre depending on soil conditions.
Newly Seeded Alfalfa
Apply 5 gallons per acre.
Potatoes
Apply 4–10 gallons per acre, positioning the fertilizer so the potato seed piece drops into the treated area.
Foliar Application Guidelines
Corn
Apply 1–3 gallons per acre at the third-to-fifth leaf-collar stage.
Vegetable Crops
Apply 1–2 gallons per acre with 8–10 gallons of water every 7–10 days. Begin approximately 10–15 days after transplanting or when seeded crops reach 2–5 inches in height.
Soybeans
Apply 1–3 gallons per acre at the fourth-to-sixth trifoliate stage, followed by another application at approximately 80–85% pod set.
Small Grains, Dry Beans, Sugar Beets and Other Row Crops
Apply 1–3 gallons per acre as a foliar treatment.
Fruit Trees
Apply 1 gallon per acre with 8–10 gallons of water beginning at bud swell. Continue as needed according to crop requirements.
Transplant Solution
Mix 1 gallon of NACHURS First Down with 100 gallons of water and apply at set-out.
