Description

NACHURS® 3% Ca EDTA is a premium liquid calcium fertilizer developed to prevent and correct calcium deficiencies identified through soil testing, plant tissue analysis, or visible crop symptoms. Its 0-0-7-3Ca formulation provides 3% calcium in a fully EDTA-chelated form, helping protect the nutrient from reactions that can reduce its availability. The product also supplies 7% soluble potassium to complement a complete crop-nutrition program. Calcium is an essential secondary plant nutrient required for early root formation, cell development, structural strength, and general plant vigor. Because calcium has limited movement within the plant, deficiencies commonly appear first in young leaves and actively growing tissue. NACHURS 3% Ca EDTA can be applied in-row, in a 2×2 band, or as a foliar treatment. It may be combined with NACHURS liquid fertilizers, other liquid fertilizers, fertilizer suspensions, nitrogen solutions, or water when compatibility is confirmed.

Guaranteed Analysis

  • Total Nitrogen: 0%
  • Available Phosphate: 0%
  • Soluble Potash: 7%
  • Calcium: 3%

Nutrient Sources

  • Potassium Hydroxide
  • Calcium EDTA
One pint of NACHURS 3% Ca EDTA supplies approximately 0.037 pounds of elemental calcium.

Role of Calcium

Calcium performs several essential functions within the plant. Adequate calcium can help:
  • Promote early root formation and growth
  • Support cell-wall development
  • Strengthen stalks and plant tissue
  • Improve general plant vigor
  • Support healthy development of new leaves
  • Maintain proper plant structure
  • Promote consistent crop growth

Common Calcium-Deficiency Symptoms

Plants experiencing calcium deficiency may display:
  • Wrinkled or crinkled young leaves
  • Young leaves that fail to unfold properly
  • Short, bunched root systems
  • Restricted new growth
  • Weak stalks or plant tissue
  • Reduced plant vigor
Because similar symptoms can result from other nutritional or environmental problems, confirm a suspected deficiency through soil testing or plant tissue analysis before treatment.

High-Response Crop Rates

In-Row Application

Apply 1–3 pints per acre.

Banded Application

Apply 2–5 pints per acre in a suitable band, commonly 2 inches to the side and 2 inches below the seed at planting.

Other Crop Rates

In-Row Application

Apply 1–2 pints per acre.

Banded Application

Apply 2–4 pints per acre. In-row rates are intended to provide starter calcium for the current crop and may not correct a severe deficiency. Additional banded or foliar treatments may be required.

Ground Foliar Application

Apply 1–2 pints per acre with a minimum of 10 gallons of water. NACHURS liquid fertilizer may also be used as the carrier at 3–5 gallons per acre when the combination is compatible and label directions permit.

Aerial Foliar Application

Apply 1–2 pints per acre with a minimum of 5 gallons of water. More than one application may be required when addressing a severe calcium deficiency.

General Mixing Instructions

  1. Add approximately one-third of the required water or fertilizer to the tank.
  2. Add any other compatible agricultural chemicals.
  3. Add the remaining water or fertilizer.
  4. Shake each NACHURS 3% Ca EDTA container thoroughly and add the correct amount.
  5. Agitate adequately to produce a uniform mixture.
Always conduct a jar test before large-scale mixing. Use additional caution when combining the product with orthophosphate fertilizers, high-potash suspensions, or complex chemical mixtures.

Storage and Use Guidelines

Do not store NACHURS 3% Ca EDTA below 32°F. Follow the product label for handling, storage, application, and safety requirements. Application rates should be based on soil pH, soil organic matter, crop requirements, soil testing, plant tissue analysis, and professional fertility recommendations.

Why Growers Choose NACHURS 3% Ca EDTA

Calcium is essential for root growth, new tissue development, and structural strength, but it can become unavailable because of soil chemistry or interactions with other nutrients. Since calcium does not move readily from older plant tissue to new growth, deficiencies can quickly affect developing leaves, roots, flowers, and fruit. NACHURS 3% Ca EDTA supplies calcium in a protected, chelated form that fits into soil and foliar fertility programs. Its flexible application rates make it suitable for starter nutrition, targeted deficiency correction, and repeated treatment where crop demand is high. NACHURS 3% Ca EDTA should supplement a complete fertility program. Always follow label directions and consult an authorized NACHURS distributor or agronomist for crop- and field-specific recommendations. Supply available calcium. Strengthen roots and plant structure. Support healthier crop development.
